The first series of Hermann, ”Space”, documents the silence, separate existence of objects outside the human hustle in the form of simple, random, beautiful objects and interiors. Ildi Hemann presents us the objects originating from themselves, from their positions and from their relations to each other in quite special, clean, geometric arrangements. The round ashtrays are not dirty, they are not the props of a much-debated human activity, but special design shapes, patterns exciting by themselves standing in front of the glass brick wall, contrasting with its grid division.
